My favorite project from this semester was the self portrait project. I found the project rather enjoyable because I felt like I succeeded in drawing what I pictured in my head. Whenever I do an art project, I can get really annoyed because I don't often create what I've envisioned. This portrait didn't just look like me and had my emotion. Although in this picture it looks like the shading should be darker, in real life it is actually quite dark. Black and white also makes this drawing much better for me because it seems more expressive in my opinion.

The project I learned the most from was the shadow/value project. During this project I had quite a few doubts if what I was doing was right. There were several times where I felt like I had made a mistake. However, I kept going and in the end it turned out well. This was a very good way to learn the details of shading and how to use it effectively. While doing this project I learned that sometimes I just have to trust that what I'm doing will be alright. I learned some of the principles of shading and how to apply it to my art. What I learned from this project gave me more confidence for the rest of the semester.

Although the two projects were quite different. In the painting project I used quite a few skills that I had picked up from the zentangle project. When we were doing the zentangle project we painted with clay. While doing this, I learned how I can use a paint brush more efficiently and how to make less mistakes. At first in the painting project I didn't need to use that much technique. However, after doing the background I had to be very careful with how I painted. The skills I learned from the zentangle project really helped for this. I was able to effectively paint what I wanted using these skills.

There were actually two projects that I feel I learned nothing from. Both of the ipad projects were pretty much a waste of time for me. I did what I was supposed to do, but in the end I never stuck with what I did on ipads. Every time we did work on the ipads I felt like I was just wasting time and not really doing much.

The project that I connected to the most was the print project. While doing this project, me and my friend had a bit of a draw-off. In this draw-off we took turns trying to add the most ridiculous details to a rabbit that we drew. It was fun, hilarious, and a project I'll never forget. It reflects how much fun we had in art and how happy we were. In the end we got to make a print of the rabbit to look at and laugh for forever. The name of this rabbit? Well of course! The name is, Professor Bunnington.
